Donna Rich, LICSW, PhD

Education

Dr. Rich earned both her Masters and PhD in Social Work at New York University. In addition to her educational degrees, Dr. Rich has additional psychoanalytic training. Dr. Rich has worked in the field for 25 years. Her work began initially in New York City where she is from and then continued in the suburban communities of Boston for the past 18 years.

Therapeutic Skills and Professional Associations

Dr. Rich has worked in a range of treatment facilities and with a varied patient population. From day treatment programs, therapeutic nurseries, child and family agencies and practices as well as serving as bereavement coordinator to a local hospice. She has been in both the position of direct provider of treatment services as well as in supervisory roles. She has additionally served on committees evaluating treatment services to families and children.

 

As a result Dr. Rich has integrated a broad range of clinical understanding into her treatment approach in working with her patients. Dr. Rich works with individuals, families, couples and groups. Her focus includes life adjustment issues, alleviation of symptoms of anxiety and depression, traumatic lose and grief issues and overall stress reduction.

 

Dr Rich’s work embraces the understanding of the power of us all to heal and works to encourage this understanding with strategies to access our innate abilities.

 

Dr. Rich is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
